How this one works
Closing dates rarely match move-out dates. Rather than renting a public unit and paying us twice to handle everything, your load goes into sealed wooden vaults at our Kearny Mesa warehouse, stays on the same inventory, and comes out on the day you tell us.

Step by step
What happens, in order

Load to vault
We load directly into vaults at your address or at the warehouse, and photograph each vault before it is sealed.

Stored
Vaults are racked and logged. You get the vault numbers and the inventory list by email.

Notice
Give us the delivery date and we schedule the out-haul. Seven days notice is comfortable, two is usually workable.

Delivery
Same crew practice as any move: walkthrough, placement, reassembly, sign-off.

No. Self storage is a room you rent and load yourself. Storage in transit keeps your goods on our inventory and our liability, in sealed vaults you never have to handle.
Yes, by appointment with 48 hours notice. Breaking a vault seal to retrieve a single item is charged as a handling event, so it is worth flagging anything you might want before we seal up.
There is no maximum. After 90 days most people switch to a permanent storage agreement, which changes the valuation basis. We will explain that before it happens.
Yes while goods are in storage in transit. It changes when the agreement converts to permanent storage, so read that letter when it arrives.

We hold two crews back every weekday for same-day and next-day work. Call before 11:00 am and there is a good chance we can be at your door by two.
Same-day slots are first come, first served and depend on the board.
